Summa Equity - A digital report about sustainable investment

Every year, Summa Equity releases an annual report on their portfolio companies. We have taken it a step further and created a web-friendly version of the report.

After creating a new website for Summa Equity, we continued with their annual report. Previously, they designed a printed version and an accessible PDF. Now, we took it a step further and created a fully digital annual report.

This offers numerous advantages, such as the ability to include videos, animations, dynamic charts, and other interactive elements. Additionally, the report is indexed by Google, and they can share chapters or subpages on social media.

To create a connection between the print version and the digital annual report, we used a common design system and integrated QR codes from print to web.

And last but not least: Now they can change the content of the report right up until launch.

We contributed with UX, design, and development. The content of the report is retrieved from Craft CMS.

A digital annual report should reflect the brand's design principles, but it also provides an opportunity to challenge the layout and the presentation of the content.

A digital annual report contains a lot of text. Therefore, we have designed a layout that makes the text easier and more interesting to read than a typical web article.

Interactive graphs and diagrams emphasize why a digital annual report should be a priority.

To differentiate the chapters from each other, we have used a different color palette for each chapter.

We use both vertical and horizontal orientation: The chapters are organized on the Y-axis, while the content within each chapter unfolds along the X-axis.

When we developed the website for Summa Equity, we defined a design system. This significantly simplifies the design process for a digital annual report.

Each chapter and each subpage has its own URL that is indexed by Google and can be shared on social media.

Once the content, structure, and layout are established, these elements can easily be reused in subsequent years.
